Supported Employment is available for all adult and select adolescent residents of Atchison, Jefferson, and Leavenworth Counties who are looking for competitive, meaningful work opportunities, despite battling a disability.
The program serves individuals with a wide range of job skills, work experiences, and educational backgrounds who are qualified for positions ranging from entry-level to specialized work. Individuals are supported in their employment search and receive training to further develop job skills. Both employers and employees receive assistance during the hiring process, orientation, and training.
Supported Employment offers a match between individual skills and employer needs, availability of on-the-job training by supported employment staff, a paid position with a community employer, and continuous support to assist with successful job maintenance. While working with an employment specialist, our consumers recieve educational infomration releated to employement.

for this service has been made possible by grants from Kansas Vocational
