Testing and evaluations
Psychological evaluations include psychological testing, clinical interview, and a review of records necessary to address questions regarding an individual’s psychological functioning and possible needs for treatment. Additionally, parenting assessments, adoption home studies, and forensic services, including evaluations for law enforcement officers and competency to stand trial, are available.
Parenting assessments typically occur in response to a court order or social services system referral and address the question, “Is this parent able to meet the emotional, physical, and safety needs of this child?”
The fee for a parenting assessment is $100 per hour with a minimum of 10
hours for one parent and one child. We have created a modified sliding fee
scale for parents who are financially disadvantaged. The total balance for
testing must be paid by the second visit of the evaluation or no further
sessions will be scheduled. We cannot schedule appointments for the evaluation
to begin until the client has made at least the initial payment.
