Same Day Services

TGC Offers Same Day Services

The Access Clinic was opened on January 3, 2012 at The Guidance Center to offer same day services to first-time clients, walk-ins or those returning after being closed to services. In addition, outreach efforts will focus on homeless veterans and senior citizens. For more information about the Access Clinic, contact Donna Fisher at 913-682-5118.

Outpatient Services

The Guidance Center offers traditional mental health counseling and therapeutic intervention services delivered by professionals with training in psychiatry, clinical social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, and psychology. A wide spectrum of diagnoses are seen in this service category to include mood disorders, anxiety, marital problems, parent-child problems, sexual problems, and impulse control disorders. The Center's outpatient services also include psychiatry coverage for psychiatric assessment and medication management.

MDCPT Program

The Multi-Disciplinary Child Protection Team (MDCPT) was formed in 2001 to provide coordinated services for parents and caregivers of school-aged children and youth experiencing challenges at home, in school and in the community.

STAR Program

Serving Tykes At Risk is a theraputic preschool program for children ages 3-5 who have been identified as having, or are at risk of developing, behavioral health issues.
